Anthurium Mix

Description

Many anthurium plants are epiphytic in nature – meaning they grow on other plants other than in soil. Potting mixes should be very well draining as a result, and full of nutrients. Anthurium do best in warm, brightly lit environments, out of direct light. These plants thrive at higher humidity levels and do very well in terrariums and humidity cabinets. In typical household environments anthuriums respond very well to the addition of humidifiers. Keep the potting mix moist and water twice a week during the growing season, and once a week during the winter.
