Description
Angel Wing, or Cane, Begonias are native to the rainforests of Brazil are require an adequate amount of warmth and humidity as a result. This type of begonia is not as sensitive to direct light as rex begonias, but still cannot withstand the direct sun requirements of a wax begonia. Rather, they like bright, indirect light all throughout the year and to be kept away from the possibility of a draft.
These begonias prefer to be kept consistently moist in a slightly acidic, very well-drained substrate that contains a good amount of airspace for root growth. I created this formula of bio-char (bioactive charcoal), coco coir peat, fir bark, pumice, and worm castings specifically with angel wing begonias in mind. This mix will give your angel wing the appropriate amount of consistent moisture without water-logging.
Ingredients: bio-live 5-4-2, bio-char, coco coir, fir bark, pumice, sphagnum moss, worm castings
