Description
Carnivorous plants are plants that derive some, if not most of their nutrients from trapping and consuming insects or animals. These plants typically grow in waterlogged sunny places with high humidity, such as acidic bogs. Carnivorous plants enjoy substrates that retain a lot of moisture, yet retain good aeration. These types of plants require a mix that won’t compact, so delicate root systems can easily penetrate through the substrate.
