Description
Hoyas are epiphytes, meaning they naturally grow on the surface of other plants, (primarily trees). As a result, Hoyas like to have a lot of aeration around their root system, and prefer to be kept in a very well-draining potting mix.
Philodendrons are hemiepiphytes, meaning they grow on the surface of other plants, (primarily trees) for at least half of their lives.
