Phragmipedium (Wet Group) Mix

Description

Phragmipediums, (Phrags) also called Lady Slippers, grow from Mexico down through central and northern parts of South America and enjoy semi-shaded or dappled sunlight, and high humidity. There are two groups of Phrags, the first group include older hybrids such as Phrag. caudatum, Phrag. sargentianum, and Phrag. longifolium and are considered the “dry” group. The second group includes Phrag. Besseae and Phrag. schlimi. and are considered the “wet” group. This potting mix is for the 2nd, wet group; the first group should use the Paphiopedilum or Venus Slipper Mix.
