Description
This mix performs best with succulents that receive bottom-watering no more than once a week during the growing season, and once every two weeks during the winter. Your succulent needs to be in a pot with adequate drainage as well. You want to wait until the substrate is completely dry before watering, not just dry on the top layer, which can be checked by picking up the pot and judging the difference in weight from when it is freshly watered. A well-watered succulent will have plump, firm leaves; when squeezed there should be very little give between the fingers. A succulent will show signs of thirst with wrinkly leaves, drooping leaves, and when leaves are soft between the fingers. Include a water soluble succulent fertilizer with every watering for optimal growth, I recommend Schultz 2-7-7 Liquid Plant Food.
