Calathea & Croton Mix

Description

Calathea are notoriously very particular about their environment. They prefer filtered light or shade with high humidity levels – as they naturally grow on the jungle floor with dappled sunlight – and are very sensitive to cold. Calathea prefer a well-drained substrate that remains consistently moist, but not soggy and do not tolerate temperatures lower than 60°F. These plants prefer humidity levels at 50% or higher and thrive in terrariums as a result. Be very cautious of exposing your calathea to direct sun, as too much light will burn the leaves and cause vibrant patterns to fade.
